IGN er i dag på banen med et preview af Xbox-versionen af DOOM III. Det er Vicarious Visions, som er ansvarlige for denne “port” og artiklen indeholder kommentarer fra firmaets talsmand – Tobi Saulnier – der fortæller mere om forskellene imellem den “oprindelige” PC-version og deres Xbox-version. Der er desværre ingen nye screenshots og det er efterhånden alt for længe siden vi har fået leveret noget på den front.


As for multiplayer, other than the fact that it’s going to be on Xbox Live, we don’t know much but expect to see the same offerings as on the PC. One of the cool aspects about the PC version of Doom 3, though, is that player models no longer have a generous hit box around them. That means you actually have to hit the character’s polygons to score damage. Why the change? Because, according to id CEO Todd Hollinshead, as players’ skill increases, the targets must become smaller to compensate.
