MOBILE 3D GAMING BREAKTHROUGH!
“DRG 3D” brings Quake-based games from PC to GBA and now Mobiles!
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 28, 2003) – Bobbee Tec, llc. announced today that the Series 60 Mobile version of their DRG 3D Game Engine is now available for licensing to third-party developers and publishers.
Bobbee Tec’s DRG 3D Game Engine is the only technology available that can take PC-based games designed for the Quake or Quake 2 engines and actually run them on the GameBoy Advance! This new release adds support for many Series 60 Mobile devices (including Nokia’s 7650, 3650 and N-Gage, as well as many others), and features cross-platform compatibility among all DRG 3D platforms.
Development and testing of DRG 3D games is done almost entirely on the PC and then converted for the target platform with a custom toolset; Compatibility with the wide variety of existing editors and utilities specifically designed for Quake-based games reduces the time spent learning new tools, and enables ultra-rapid content creation with minimal (if any!) programming effort. DRG 3D’s added cross-platform compatibility allows developers to reuse the same content and media to create multiple SKUs without the usual hassle and time required for a traditional port or conversion – while maintaining the quality and features of the individual target device!
The DRG 3D Game Engine features unsurpassed technical specs and is the sole handheld and mobile engine to support lightmapping, true 3D models, real 3D physics, and all the bells and whistles gamers usually expect to see only on PC and high-end consoles! Complete technical details are available for review online at http://www.bobbeetec.com/drg_tech.htm. Demo screenshots and videos for the GBA version of DRG 3D are also available at http://www.bobbeetec.com. Series 60 Mobile media will be available shortly – for exclusive media and branded content, please contact press@bobbeetec.com
