Atlus og SEGAs Persona 5 har været et af årets bedste spiloplevelser. Det PlayStation-eksklusive spil har nu rundet et salg på 2 mio.
Persona 5 ankom først her i Europa og USA længe efter den japanske udgivelse og er at betragte som et niche-spil. Det til trods, har de vestlige PlayStation-gamere for alvor taget spillet til sig. Atlus kan i dag fortælle, at de har rundet 2 mio. solgte spil og salgstallene har også fanget udgiveren SEGAs opmærksomhed. Allerede tilbage i maj måned fortalte SEGA, at de ville gøre mere ud af spil som Persona 5, som i den grad bidrager med noget anderledes.
Dec 1, 2017 – ATLUS today announced that the overall sales of Persona 5 for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3have reached a critical milestone with more than 2 million copies sold worldwide. Since the initial launch the title has been critically acclaimed from media and users alike, receiving recognition and awards from prestigious media outlets and fans. Most recently, ATLUS is proud to announce that the title has been nominated in four categories for the prestigious “The Game Awards 2017” held in Los Angeles CA on December 7, including: “Game of the Year,” “Best Art Direction,” “Best Score/Music,” and “Best Role Playing Game.”
