id Softwares Robert Duffy forsikrer, at de problemer der har været med lave FPS i Team Arena, vil blive rettet i den endelige version. Allerede nu kører Team Arena hurtigere med de gamle Quake 3 maps.
I et indlæg på Quake3World.com, bekræfter id’s Robert Duffy, at man allerede har løst de tilsyneladende performance-problemer, Team Arena demoen klart viste. Man er så småt ved at have has på børnesygdommene, og både den kommende Point Release og Team Arena kommer til at køre væsentligt hurtigere.



At this point I think we have the FPS issue resolved, a couple of things were going on. With everything turned on, TA may run a few FPS slower but it should not be significant. In many cases it is now running as fast or faster with Q3A maps.


We are going to do some more testing and tweaking this evening and tomorrow but the final point release and retail TA should not see these issues.
