I forbindelse med MI6 konferencen i San Francisco i går, var Electronic Arts’ Peter Moore på banen med en “keynote”, som primært fokuserede på “social gaming”. Det er nu heller ikke helt tilfældigt, at Electronic Arts (EA) de seneste to år har købt en række spilproducenter (bl.a. PlayFish) for at styrke sig på det område. The theme of Moore’s speech was the growth of digital gaming, and he shared EA estimates showing digital gaming rising from 31 percent of the market in 2008 to 45 percent in 2010. While the packaged games market has grown from $39.9 billion to $44.2 billion in that time, by EA estimates, the digital games market has grown much faster, from $12.4 billion to $19.9 billion.
