Activision har netop afsluttet deres store Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 livestream. Black Ops 4 dropper singleplayer delen for battle royale i form af Blackout.

Afsløringen af Black Ops 4 Battle Royale mode, er ikke den store overraskelse. Sidste måneds rygter viste sig at ramme stort set plet. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 får en Battle Royale mode kaldet “Blackout” og vil, som det første Call of Duty-spil, ikke indeholde en singleplayer-del. Der bydes også på køretøjer (vehicles) i Blackout.

Rygterne viste sig derved at være helt korrekte. Black Ops 4 er den første Call of Duty-titel som dropper singleplayer – til fordel for ikke et men tre zombie maps og så den nye battle royale mode, Blackout.

Det forventes at Activision stadig vil sig de $60 for spillet, hvilket nok ikke alle vil synes er en fantastisk ide. Godt nok er Call of Duty en af de allerstørste franchises, men Activision synes overbeviste om, at mange vil gribe dybt i lommerne for en game mode, som bl.a. Epic Games eksekverer ret flot og især gratis i Fortnite.

Spillets multiplayer-del blev også afsløret og (naturligvis) også byde på zombies. Vi fik intet at se fra Battle Royale-delen og vi har efterfølgende også spurgt Activision om vi ikke kunne få bare lidt materiale. Det må vi desværre vente på.

Med spillets specialistklasser, nærmer Black Ops 4 mere en hero-shooter og synes at hente inspiration fra både Overwatch (Blizzard) og Rainbow Six Siege (Ubisoft).

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 udgives den 12. oktober til PC, PS4 og Xbox One. PC-versionen vil kun være tilgængelig via Blizzards klient – ganske som førnævnte Overwatch.

The game was revealed earlier today in a livestreamed community event broadcast worldwide across 10 languages, as Activision and Treyarch unveiled an unprecedented first look along with a trove of detailed game information.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 features gritty, grounded combat, along with new levels of customization and tactical gameplay, and a variety of new weaponry, maps and modes for the ultimate Black Ops multiplayer experience. The game features the return of the iconic Pick 10 system, along with a series of innovations in weapon controls, combat flow, health regeneration, and player movement. Black Ops 4 goes deeper than ever before into the fiction of multiplayer, where players will explore the world of Specialists – who they are, why they exist, and what battles they fight together – while mastering their gameplay through solo and multiplayer combat experiences. Black Ops 4 on PC will have uncapped framerate, 4K resolution and HDR, support for ultra-wide monitors and the ability for players to extensively customize the performance and visual quality for their specific hardware. In addition, players will be able to select from pre-set control options, including options for left-handed players, or fully customize the keyboard and mouse controls to their preference. In addition, Treyarch and Beenox worked closely with the team at Blizzard to incorporate’s social systems, security, and server stability into Black Ops 4 to prepare for the release on on October 12th.

    Tror de har valgt rigtigt, med at introducere BR mode til deres spil. Og de har umiddelbart også gjort rigtigt i at droppe SP. Jeg synes at SP historien i de senest CoD spil har været kedelige og intetsigende!

    Jeg regner ikke selv med at skal have det nye CoD, men skal se nogle streams af hvordan BR tager sig ud i CoD

  2. #3 Black Ops3 var et af de allerbedste, og mest spillede CoD set over hele det år det var aktuelt.

    Så… nej.. Det er ikke deres problem

  3. Kan godt lide at COD Black Ops`s skal låne nogle lidt fra både PUB, Overwatch og ikke mindst R6: Siege. Gammel øl på nye flasker.

    og tilmed ingen singleplayer del.

    I det mindste udkommer det ikke på Steam.

  4. #4 Det var maaske et af de mest (paa grund af fans) solgte i serien ja, var det godt? saa afgjort nej. Maaske er det ikke de eneste grunde, men jo et problem!!!

  5. Så vidt jeg kan huske solgte det ikke specielt godt i forhold til andre titler. Det var det bedste og mest spillede cod siden mw3. Det havde en kæmpe spillerbase langt ind i næste års spil. Pga advanced Warfare var røv. Men også fordi det var balanceret og havde nye og sjove måder at spille på. Låner de fra andre? Ja. Hvem gør ikke det idag. Man er du hvis man tror nogen kan lave et banebrydende spil uden at havde ideer fra andre spil med.

  6. De vil jo helt sikkert tage samme pris for spillet til trods for manglede single-player. Spændt på at se hvordan det klarer sig.

    Og battle royale for $60? Tror jeg vist ikke. Og med alle typer vehicles? Kæft en fest

  7. Maa tilstaa at det jeg har mest imod det nok er den massivt urealistiske og barnlige setting i spillet. Jeg mener fjernstyrede bier, c’mon . . . (FACEPALM)

  8. De har analyseret BO3-spillerne og kun 4% af dem gennemførte kampagnen, som var ret udskældt.

    Deres logik byder dem så at droppe singleplayer, da de tilsyneladende ikke har evnerne til at lave en god kampagne, hvilket vi egentlig burde sætte pris på.

  9. #13: BO3 kampagnen var, til forskel fra BO1 og BO2 kampagnen, også så ringe. De to første spil gjorde det godt på den front.

    Treyarch har nok bare erkendt at de ikke er specielt gode til den del.
