Martin Deppe: Burning Horizon contains two parts. On the one hand, we have a huge, 18-mission campaign built around General Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox. Not only his famous North African battles like Tobruk or El Alamein, but the Western campaign in Belgium and France as well – even the German airborne operations over Sicily. The game follows Rommel’s career in two ways, background information in the mission briefings and famous special events in the battles; e.g. the wooden dummy tanks mounted on tractors that he used to fool his enemy, or he having to cross the notorious huge tank trench at Tobruk. Very often, it’s your choice how to win a battle, by deciding which reinforcements to use; e.g. more air support or some extra Panzer IV H units.
