|Animus-Nurriz|> hey
[rs]-warsaw> yo
|Animus-Nurriz|> and congratz on the 2nd place seeding
[rs]-warsaw> thx, we should have won the qualifier :|
|Animus-Nurriz|> ??
|Animus-Nurriz|> the qualifier?
[rs]-warsaw> we were in the finals of the CAL online qualifier, but we lost
|Animus-Nurriz|> to?
[rs]-warsaw> PAG, our ally clan
|Animus-Nurriz|> ok
[rs]-warsaw> we LAN with them like every other weekend
|Animus-Nurriz|> so, a 1st place seeding for a European clan
|Animus-Nurriz|> what do you think about that?
[rs]-warsaw> I’ve heard that they’ve won a few tournaments over there, so more power to em
|Animus-Nurriz|> have you ever played any European clans?
[rs]-warsaw> from what I hear SoA is pretty good, but my mTw friends say we can take em :p
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
|Animus-Nurriz|> yep, Cham told me
[rs]-warsaw> we were beating mTw in a scrimm in the BYOC, but then again, that’s a scrimm
|Animus-Nurriz|> Practice?
|Animus-Nurriz|> scrimm = practice war?
[rs]-warsaw> yeah, practice… hahaha
[rs]-warsaw> we learned all the terms last CPL
|Animus-Nurriz|> that’s what we call it
|Animus-Nurriz|> pcw
|Animus-Nurriz|> practice clanwar
[rs]-warsaw> we call em clan matches, you call em clan wars
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
[rs]-warsaw> when i hear “clan war” for the first time, I was like… wtf? I had this picture of 5 clans fighting 5 clans
[rs]-warsaw>
|Animus-Nurriz|> lol
[rs]-warsaw> mTw knocked on our hotel door early in the morning and say to us, “Are you ready for training?”
[rs]-warsaw> we were like.. training? wtf? you mean scrimmage?
[rs]-warsaw> lolllololololololo
|Animus-Nurriz|> in Europe, we dont really know alot of US-clans, so its kind of hard to figure u guys out
[rs]-warsaw> yes, and I’m pretty sure it’s the same way over here
|Animus-Nurriz|> no one knows the playing style of the teams over here
|Animus-Nurriz|> or over there =)
[rs]-warsaw> from the demos I’ve watched, Europeans play completely differently
[rs]-warsaw> completely
[rs]-warsaw> it’s amazing
|Animus-Nurriz|> when Danish clans started moving their clanwars to a broader area, like all of Europe, some of us got pretty surprised
how different tactics where
|Animus-Nurriz|> maybe that’s going to happen again
[rs]-warsaw> I can imagine. It’s pretty amazing to see how different regions develop different styles of play. I can only imagine that it comes from the way some of the original few clans in the area bring themselves up.
|Animus-Nurriz|> indeed
[rs]-warsaw> [rs] used to be a lot more of a chargers-only clan, but rushing too much can get you owned if you’re not careful :>
|Animus-Nurriz|> what we gained from that, or some gained, was an expert ability to adapt to opponents play very fast
|Animus-Nurriz|> i agree
|Animus-Nurriz|> rush can be good
[rs]-warsaw> we think adapting is half of the game…
|Animus-Nurriz|> but against clans with rock hard defense it can mean certain death
[rs]-warsaw> half-way through every match we talk about what they’re doing, and what to clean it up
[rs]-warsaw> what to do to clean up the match, that is
|Animus-Nurriz|> yep
[rs]-warsaw> rock-hard defense can be a bitch to break
|Animus-Nurriz|> that is what makes a good clan
[rs]-warsaw> exactly
|Animus-Nurriz|> instead of rushing to certain death, u change tacs
[rs]-warsaw> definitely
|Animus-Nurriz|> but all of you American clans have alot of teams
|Animus-Nurriz|> i believe you’re sending 2 teams to Dallas?
[rs]-warsaw> [rs] is fielding 4 teams… and most of the guys playing are all local to Dallas
|Animus-Nurriz|> so you’re Texan clan?
[rs]-warsaw> that’s always been good for our CPLs
[rs]-warsaw> yup :p
|Animus-Nurriz|> k =)
|Animus-Nurriz|> other teams to watch out for
|Animus-Nurriz|> ?
[rs]-warsaw> /msg |animus-nurriz| hold on, Indians are raiding my house…
|Animus-Nurriz|> huh?
[rs]-warsaw> INDIANS! You know, I’m a Cowboy!
[rs]-warsaw> Just like John Wayne.
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
|Animus-Nurriz|> lol
|Animus-Nurriz|> other teams to watch out for in this CPL?
[rs]-warsaw> nah, just playing… so many Europeans think Dallas is just like western movies
|Animus-Nurriz|> US clans that is
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
[rs]-warsaw> definitely
[rs]-warsaw> let me think
|Animus-Nurriz|> SYN?
[rs]-warsaw> X3 is probably going to be our strongest American competition
|Animus-Nurriz|> X3
|Animus-Nurriz|> ok
|Animus-Nurriz|> xeno is Canadian right?
[rs]-warsaw> let’s not forget DoP though, who placed 2nd last event
|Animus-Nurriz|> oh yeah
[rs]-warsaw> DoP said to us, “We will never play this good again” after a day of ownage last event
[rs]-warsaw> i think they surprised everyone
[rs]-warsaw> wait, I take that back.. I think PAG might prove to be harder than X3…
|Animus-Nurriz|> ok
[rs]-warsaw> PAG (Plano’s Asian Gang) are shaping up to be one of the best… they’re right around the corner from destroying everyone
|Animus-Nurriz|> sounds interesting
|Animus-Nurriz|> newcomers?
[rs]-warsaw> SYN is pretty established and popular, and they’ll be bringing a few teams (3 I think). Loki and bad-influence, NHG members, are playing with them
[rs]-warsaw> newcomers? Hmm.. abuse is competing. They’re an insanely good Quake clan that’s making the transition… we’ll see if they can get it together before this weekend
[rs]-warsaw> oh, [xeno] will be bringing it from up north (in Canada)… supposedly they’re ripping it up
[rs]-warsaw> This CPL will have more competition than all previous ones (with CS at least), and I think we’ll see some strong upset victories.
|Animus-Nurriz|> hopefully
|Animus-Nurriz|> i saw you just got Hakeem and some other Quakers on the team, do you have a Q3 team as well?
[rs]-warsaw> not for this event. madfraga is the only Quaker coming, and he’ll be playing on our 2nd team
[rs]-warsaw> hakeem, unholy, c3… we’ll work them into our lineups next CPL
|Animus-Nurriz|> ok
|Animus-Nurriz|> you planning showing at any euro cpl events?
[rs]-warsaw> YES!!! We’re looking for a sponsor that can help us fly one, maybe two teams to each European CPL event.
[rs]-warsaw> honestly, I think we’d perform pretty well over there.
|Animus-Nurriz|> there is one in May in Holland, or The Netherlands
|Animus-Nurriz|> probably u would
|Animus-Nurriz|> thinking in the difference of play
|Animus-Nurriz|> could upset a lot of teams
[rs]-warsaw> Definitely.
[rs]-warsaw> we really want to attend that Holland event.
[rs]-warsaw> I’ve had the pleasure of visiting there before, and it’s an amazing place
.
|Animus-Nurriz|> im going =)
[rs]-warsaw> hopefully we can get a sponsor by then and show up too
[rs]-warsaw>
|Animus-Nurriz|> well, we have to pay ourselves =(
[rs]-warsaw> bah!
|Animus-Nurriz|> not as far though
|Animus-Nurriz|> =)
[rs]-warsaw> >:|
[rs]-warsaw> buy us plane tickets to come defeat the Euros
|Animus-Nurriz|> well if i find a million on the streets tomorrow ill send u some =)
[rs]-warsaw> sounds good
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
|Animus-Nurriz|> so, with your knowledge of US teams, who do you pick as winner and runner-up?
[rs]-warsaw> tough question
[rs]-warsaw> hmm….
[rs]-warsaw> I don’t know, it’s just too tough to call
[rs]-warsaw> I think [rs], PAG, X3, or DoP will probably take 1st place
|Animus-Nurriz|> always is with so many top clans
|Animus-Nurriz|> hehe
[rs]-warsaw> MAYBE SoA or mTw
[rs]-warsaw> i guess you have to throw them in also
|Animus-Nurriz|> indeed
[rs]-warsaw> is team9 going? I don’t think they are
|Animus-Nurriz|> nope
|Animus-Nurriz|> something got messed up
[rs]-warsaw> k, then everyone I mentioned plus SoA and mTw
|Animus-Nurriz|> k
[rs]-warsaw> the Europeans should not be underestimated
|Animus-Nurriz|> nope
|Animus-Nurriz|> both teams are VERY good
[rs]-warsaw> true
|Animus-Nurriz|> how many of these clans are use to sitting together when playing?
[rs]-warsaw> usually the Americans stick together… I don’t think any Euros are bringing their comps for the BYOC
|Animus-Nurriz|> they aren’t i think
|Animus-Nurriz|> but u all sit the same place and play?
[rs]-warsaw> we’ll probably sit fairly close
|Animus-Nurriz|> but regularly?
[rs]-warsaw> two CPLs ago, [rs] and CK3 (now X3) sat on rows pretty close to each other
[rs]-warsaw> 3 CPLs ago, we sat next to DoP
[rs]-warsaw> this CPL I imagine that we’ll be sitting next to PAG, as we’re really close clans
|Animus-Nurriz|> i mean like when you’re playing normally
|Animus-Nurriz|> everyday gaming
[rs]-warsaw> ohhh
|Animus-Nurriz|> do you sit together then?
[rs]-warsaw> you mean at CPL?
|Animus-Nurriz|> no
|Animus-Nurriz|> like now
[rs]-warsaw> ah
|Animus-Nurriz|> are u with the others
[rs]-warsaw> nah
[rs]-warsaw> we just get on the phone late at night and pub
|Animus-Nurriz|> ok
[rs]-warsaw> most of the [rs] guys have DSL here in Dallas
|Animus-Nurriz|> DSL is beginning to be standard here as well
[rs]-warsaw> but on weekends we LAN a lot
|Animus-Nurriz|> nice
[rs]-warsaw> yeah, I heard that Europe is a little behind on high-speed net, and that they LAN a lot more than we do
[rs]-warsaw> wouldn’t surprise me
|Animus-Nurriz|> we LAN a lot
|Animus-Nurriz|> SoA has a room at a local gaming cafe
|Animus-Nurriz|> where most of them sit every day
|Animus-Nurriz|> so they are like 6 guys together always
[rs]-warsaw> we have a lot of cafes like that in the U.S., but there are virtually NONE near our area
[rs]-warsaw> yeah, that’s what I’ve heard!
|Animus-Nurriz|> its always been like that
|Animus-Nurriz|> we’ve been use to playing on LAN
|Animus-Nurriz|> we started at the same cafe all of us
[rs]-warsaw> we have to ghetto-rig LANs at friends’ houses
|Animus-Nurriz|> =)
[rs]-warsaw> what clan are you in anyways?
|Animus-Nurriz|> i was at a small LAN this weekend
|Animus-Nurriz|> like 100 ppl
|Animus-Nurriz|> Animus
[rs]-warsaw> cool
|Animus-Nurriz|> but we have huge Danish LANS with 1000+ ppl
[rs]-warsaw> bah, lucky! the closest we get to that is CPLs… which only come every now and then
[rs]-warsaw> then there are DFW LANs (Dallas Fort-Worth)
|Animus-Nurriz|> u can almost find a LAN here every weekend
|Animus-Nurriz|> somewhere in the country
[rs]-warsaw> and QuakeCon, but QuakeCon isn’t nearly as much fun as CPLs
[rs]-warsaw> sweet
|Animus-Nurriz|> and its easy getting around cause its so small
[rs]-warsaw> sounds nice
|Animus-Nurriz|> well
|Animus-Nurriz|> thanks for the chat
|Animus-Nurriz|> ill just write this up
|Animus-Nurriz|> post it one of these days
[rs]-warsaw> k, sounds good
[rs]-warsaw> where will it be?
|Animus-Nurriz|> https://www.dailyrush.dk/counter-strike/
|Animus-Nurriz|> that’s where you’ll find it
|Animus-Nurriz|> =)
