    Min film!

Instruktør: Tim Burton med Guillermo del Toro som assist.

    Manuscript forfatter: Robert Anthony Salvatore

Filmen skulle selfølgelig være baseret på bøgerne The Legend of Drizzt’Do’Urden! ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Elf_Trilogy ) forløbe over de tre første bøger.

    Is på.

Jeff Nichols som instruktør på The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay

    Dear Mr. Cameron,

When you’re done with the fantasy/sci-fi projects that you are about to do, why not make a movie about the Bismarck to come back into the fold or, if you wish to go on another hiatus, to be your swan song?

Please Mr. Cameron I know you read these posts (hi) isn’t it time to come out with this movie? We’ve been waiting, what’s the deal? We all know you want to make it and we know you can. Your EXCELLENT job on the Bismarck documentary is proof of that. I know deep within you there is an urge to make this movie about Bismarck’s one and final cruise. I cannot possibly believe that you would be having a difficult time putting a script together, not with your talent and resources. You, of all directors, can do this right and provide the detailed justice this episode out of history deserves. You already know the beginning, the middle and the end. The story is there so let’s put together a script. It could be a joint American-German production with German actors portraying the Kriegsmarine roles – tell it from both sides. Have them speak German with subtitles – it’s more effective and intelligent. Blow the audience out of their seats not only with the reports of the 15″ guns going off but in EVERY aspect, the music, the emotion, the tense moments building up to the finale. Don’t hold anything back, give it the royal treatment. Do you remember the ever so slight musical/beat buildup in Tora Tora Tora until the attack?….it was subliminal and it worked on the viewer! Use tricks like this, not to make it more intense (that’s already there) but to enhance it. There are few out there who know the whole complete and true story of the Bismarck. Movie audiences would be in awe and kept on the edge of their seats due to the excitement of the whole scenario. You don’t have to embelish ANYTHING, just tell it like it was. Can you imagine how shocked and silent a movie audience would be the moment that H.M.S. Hood blows to bits right in front of their faces? Even the attack of the Swordfish torpedo bombers, though none were shot down, would still be riveting. Your natural ability to fuse action, character development and emotion would guarantee the success of this flick. The audience would be emotionally torn not only with their desire of seeing Bismarck go down but also in secretly desiring them to make it to safety. It’s a classic tale of tragedy and triumph. It would not be a movie glorifying the Nazis – for the most part the members of the Kriegsmarine were the most removed from the Nazis of all the branches of the German military. At the same time it shouldn’t de-humanize the Germans. It is what it is….a story of desperate men in a desperate situation. The moviegoers WILL care either way.

Mr. Cameron, someone else will do this movie soon. You can’t copyright history so it’s open to any studio. With the advancement in CGI anything is possible. In a few years when it is on the screen, possibly without it’s due justice, you will be sitting there in the dark as a wave of regret sweeps over you when another director’s name appears in the credits.

Hey, who am I? I’m just one of your devoted fans who has missed you and only want for you to come back with glory. I’m also not here to tell you how to make this movie because I know you already know how. However, why you are waiting I have no idea. I just thought I would put the thought back into your head. It’s no secret that it’s on the back burner of your mind. This is known even within the close circle of your friends.

It’s your right to be the one to make this movie, it’s your baby – please don’t give it up for adoption to someone else.

At the very latest let’s see this movie in theaters by 2011 – 70th anniversary of the event. This should provide you with plenty of time to do it right.
